Today’s post is a quick drop in to wish everyone a Happy Easter!
Things have been quiet this month – I’ve been sick with a nasty head cold and SamTheDog has been battling a limp on his front right leg which has necessitated strict rest and a lot of vet visits. We’re still not sure what’s wrong but it’s being treated as a soft tissue injury for the time being. Poor guy is bored and gloomy and, well, frankly, so am I! I miss having my buddy to go for walks with and he’s not allowed to go up and down stairs so he’d been living in the basement. I’ve been working down there during the day but he doesn’t understand why he can’t go anywhere or do anything.
So, there hasn’t been much cooking, or drawing or photographing or even minimizing this month so far. But I thought I’d share my Easter Eggs. I had hoped to do 12 but only got as far as 4!
But they were fun to do – I always loved Pysanky eggs. I had one my Grandma gave me but I can’t for the life of me find it. So I thought I would draw my own!
Now that Easter has come, I need to find a new little doodling project. I was excited to do the 100 Day Project again this year, but I can’t find any evidence that it’s happening again this year. Has anyone heard anything about it? It started in early April last year.
Maybe I should do it again on my own! Either way, I’m sure I’ll come up with an idea.
So, happy Easter and enjoy some of the cherry tree blossoms that have been making Vancouver so pretty this month amidst the rain showers!
Happy Easter, Melissa! 100 day project sounds intriguing. Maybe this is related to what you did last year? http://the100dayproject.com/
Hey Diane,
No the one I did was run by the Great Discontent and only runs during a specific time frame. I’m going to check this one out though. thanks!
I’m sorry that both you and Sam are under the weather and hope that you both heal quickly and feel more like yourselves soon. I’ve been enjoying all your posts of the cherry blossoms, so beautiful and your Easter Eggs sketches are lovely. Hope you enjoyed a lovely Easter weekend Melissa.
Thanks Paula. Sam is still hobbling along but we’re back to the vet tomorrow for a follow up. He does seem to be improving though!
