Ok, here’s one more in my long list of confessions: Choxie Chocolate Bars.
I heart them.
My friend Michelle, who I think is secretly trying make me gain about 100lbs, is always buying me boxes or bars of specialty chocolates for birthdays or Christmas. Choxie first appeared on the scene a few years and I fell in love before I even tasted them.
The packaging makes a designer’s heart soar. The bars used to come in pretty cardboard boxes, brightly coloured and covered with retro graphics. I have the originals all tacked up to my design board in my office.
They’ve since switched to a kind of cello wrap that I don’t like as much and, they seem to have got rid of my favourite flavour, the dark chocolate key lime truffle bar. Hmmmph. That’s right, hmmmph.
So, even though I said I didn’t want to do Christmas gifts this year, Michelle still snuck me a 5 pack of Choxies, in proper paper and foil wrapping with Christmas-y colours and graphics. No lime truffle but my other favourite flavour made it in: raspberry lemon biscotti
If you want to find Choxies, you need to live near a Target, or know somebody who does. If you live in the US, it’s probably not a problem. If you’re Canadian like me, you have to exercise a bit more creativity. Fortunately, I live 20 minutes away from the Washington State border!
I don’t know how I’d survive otherwise…
Hey Melissa , are you confessing all your sins and getting ready for a long list of N.Y. resolutions? Anyway, you made me curios…. next time I go to Target I’ll look for them and try one, eh eh …. I have a sweet tooth as well 🙂

ha ha. no, no. The list would be far too long! 😉
Try and find the raspberry one – it’s usually sold out but it’s the best one!
