The Classic Canadian Caesar Cocktail
Recipe type: Beverage
Cuisine: Canadian
Prep time:
Total time:
Serves: 1

Ingredients
  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part clam juice
  • 4 parts tomato juice
  • a splash of Worcestershire Sauce
  • pepper (season to taste)
  • lime juice (season to taste - optional)
  • hot pepper or hot sauce (optional)
  • horseradish (optional)
  • celery salt or Caesar rimming salt (for rimming the glass)
  • lime wedges
  • celery or pickled beans for garnish
Instructions
  1. take lime wedge and run it round the rim of the glass
  2. dip the rim of the glass in celery salt or a Caesar rimming salt mix if you have one (these usually add a little pepper to the celery salt for a bit more zing)
  3. in a separate glass, mix together vodka, clam juice, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, pepper (to taste) and any additional ingredients you'd like to add. Caesars are supposed to have a little zing to them but if you're not one for overly spicy drinks, go easy!
  4. add ice to your salt rimmed glass and pour the drink mixture over top - give it a good stir
  5. garnish with a stalk of celery, the traditional Caesar garnish, or a pickled bean, or both!
